AMD Unveils Radeon 7900 Series GPUs
AMD has unveiled their brand new RDNA 3 based graphics cards, capable of 8K resolution up to 165Hz.
Their best cards yet, the AMD Radeon RX 7900 series graphics cards are the first to be built on their RDNA 3 technology with up to 24GB of GDDR6 memory and 2nd generation raytracing accelerators which result in brilliant graphics quality while providing incredible performance. CEO Lisa Su stated that the new cards will offer a 54% performance increase per watt compared to their last gen of Radeon GPUs. Compared to the power hungry Nvidia RTX 4090, AMD has focused on delivering performance with more reasonable pwoer consumption.
RDNA 3:
With each new itteration of AMD’s RDNA technology, they go beyond to deliver the best features possible to provide the best experience in gaming. RDNA 3 has continued this trend by impriving on RDNA 2 with 2nd gen Raytracing and 2nd gen AMD Infinity Cache. On top of this, RDNA 3 brings new features like AI acceleration and AMD Radiance Display Engine.
AMD Radience Display Engine provides brilliant colour accuracy, with up to 68 billion colours at 8K 165Hz on DisplayPort 2.1.

Price and release date:
As with their past GPUs, AMD has set their prices lower than their main competitor, Nvidia. The flagship Radeon RX 7900 XTX will sell for $999.00 USD, and the Radeon RX 7900 XT will sell for $899.00 USD. Thats a massive $600 USD difference between the 7900 XTX and the Nvidia RTX 4090 for approximately 10% less power. Both cards are set to release on the 13th of December this year.
