Ryzen 7000 Reveal Is Upon Us

AMD might be announcing their next gen DDR5 Ryzen 7000 series later this month at Computex 2022.

Rumours have started to surface from a reliable source on Chinese Bilibili forums that indicate that AMD are likely to announce their new Ryzen 7000 series CPUs later this month. The new Zen 4 processors built on 5nm lithography will be announced by AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su, as has been the trend over the past few years for AMD’s new product announcements. AMD has confirmed that they will be holding a keynote at the Computex 2022 event. The next gen Ryzen 7000 series will launch alongside the X670 motherboard, which will support DDR5 RAM, PCIe Gen 5 and will be the first AM5 motherboard.

Ryzen 7000 Expected Release Date

A report from Digitimes claims that the Ryzen 7000 Raphael processors will be launched in September this year.  The Zen 4 CPUs have already entered mass production earlier in the year, so a September release date is plausible. It is is also possible that AMD might announce their next generation of their Radeon graphics cards at the same time.

While none of this is confirmed yet, it is important to keep in mind that leaks and speculation do not guarantee anything so it is best to take these as just leaks and not concrete information. With the release set for the 2nd half of 2022, anyone planning to upgrade their PC should hold off until the release of the new CPUs, as history has shown that AMD always releases more powerful gaming processors than Intel. And now that DDR5 and PCIe Gen 5 are added to the mix, the Ryzen 7000 series are set to be a formidable gaming processor.
