Free trials halted

Microsoft underestimated how many users would sign up for the free trial and quickly ran out of server space, which resulted in them having to temporarily halt their free trials. When attempting to join a free trial, the following screen shows up:

Free Windows 365 trials halted

Microsoft’s Director of program management tweeted the following message: “We have seen unbelievable response to #Windows365 and need to pause our free trial program while we provision additional capacity. Sign up below to get notified when trials resume.”

Only time will tell how successful Windows 365 will be, but judging by the initial reaction from users, it seems like it could become a popular choice for cloud based remote desktops.
